Assessment

I listen to your story.

80% of the diagnosis is in your story. Even though you filled out the questionnaire, I want to hear it again just in case you have a few more details. We (you and I) then conduct a Physical Examination using safe movements and tests that you can do on yourself which will help add more pieces to the puzzle.

Demonstration

I show you how to do it.

During the Online Consult I will give you a live demo of how to do any Rehab Exercises I prescribe. You will receive these in your Physio Program via email following the session.

Diagnosis

You will get answers.

Following your assessment (your story and your physical examination), I will discuss with you what is likely going on including a full explanation that you can understand. If I don’t have the answers, I will refer you to a specialist who does.

Management Plan

How to keep it better.

Together, we (you and I) come up with a management plan which includes the Activity Modification advice, a summary of all of the things you can and can’t do, and a Rehab Program that will help you get better and stay better.

Advice & Information

How to make it better.

‘Activity Modification’ is the most important advice you can get following an injury. What/where/when/how to do things in daily life whilst allowing your injury to resolve. We will then discuss your Rehab Plan, how to not only be injury-free, but stay injury free.

Email Service

So you won’t forget a thing

..but if you do, I’m here for you.

Following the session an Injury Management Program will be emailed to you containing the Management Plan, Rehab Exercises and any other important information.

Every Online Consult comes with Email Access to me for 3 month following each session, if you have any questions, queries or issues that pop up (or pop out) between consults.

But does it Work?

You better believe it!

Don’t take it from me. Listen to one of the Pioneers of Online Physiotherapy services Karen Finnin explain how Telehealth works and why it’s as effective as a traditional ‘face to face’ Physiotherapy service.

  • Please fill out as much info as possible in the Pre-Consult Questionnaires as this will help me prepare for your Online Consult. Input = output, what you put into the session, you get out of it, the more you tell me, the easier it is to diagnose you.

  • Please use a Desktop or a Laptop with a camera and microphone available.  If you only have a mobile device available please set it up in a cradle or rest it on a table in front of you.

  • Make sure you have enough light in the room during your session. You look great when the light source is to your front, rather than behind you. Check how you look when you come on and play with lights and window blinds/curtains to see what lights you up the best.

  • If your Online Consult is for your hip, knee, ankle or foot, please wear shorts or something that makes it easy for me to see it.

  • If your Online Consult is for your shoulder please wear a singlet, if it's for your elbow and wrist please wear a shirt or something that makes it easy for me to see it.

  • If you have a Shoulder injury please also feel out the Shoulder Telehealth Asssessment Tool before your consult
